Alison Baucom, founder of Baucom Behavioral & Educational Services, is a certified special educator and behavior analyst. She earned a bachelor’s degree in special education from Texas A&M University and a master’s of education in early childhood special education and behavior analysis from Vanderbilt University.
Alison has over 10 years of experience serving families and children in a wide range of capacities including working for nonprofit foundations, conducting research, teaching in private therapy centers and public schools, interning in a psychiatry clinic, training in an inclusive preschool, and providing in-home services.
Through each avenue of serving families and children, the immense need for easier access to resources and high-quality training has become more glaring. In fall of 2013, Alison founded Baucom Behavioral & Educational Services to empower and educate exceptional families through teaching them effective, research-based strategies to support their children in achieving maximum independence.
When she is not working with families, Alison can be found tending to her vegetable garden, cooking with her harvest, training her Pembroke Welsh Corgi, or meandering through Austin’s many parks and preserves.
